You need very powerful phrases and you need to raise more questions than you answer.

"Hunted across the galaxy" is a powerful phrase that I'd be sorry to see you cut. It adds an urgency to your character's story in a way that someone hunting for clues doesn't. Being hunted means action happens. Searching for clues means, well, research happens.

"Before it can fall into the hands of a powerful religious cult" is not a powerful phrase. It answers too many questions that would otherwise leave someone wanting more. If you say that he's hunted, it'll be obvious that there's someone hunting him. Don't say who. Don't say why. Hook them, and make them ask you.

Gabriellegabriellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17945421286534123354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176637429150603627.post-82946859836090496192009-03-19T14:55:00.000+00:002009-03-19T14:55:00.000+00:00Yes, I'd never thought of it that way. Also with the recent addition of some published author members we have decided to set up a section to support published writers and help them promote themselves and their books - as we all know how hard it is to get published and how its even harder to get a large readership!

I know this email is out of the blue, but i was hoping that you might drop in and take a look around and perhaps join if your interested?

I'd greatly appreciate it,

thanks

Emily Cross

here is the link: http://thewriterschronicle.forumotion.net/forum.htmEmily Crosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01707967073095394090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176637429150603627.post-36401064173496610892009-02-10T14:56:00.000+00:002009-02-10T14:56:00.000+00:00I can't help it.
